On August 18th, 2009, I began one of the most painful, rewarding, and enlightening journeys of my life so far. For on that day, I made a decision to heal, mind, body and soul, from a crippling disorder known as Bulimia.
I’ve decided to live my life out loud, to advocate for others wanting to heal, and to share my story openly; the good, the bad, and the ugly.
I’m a 20-somethings girl with miles to go, her heart on her sleeve, and faith like a child. I love my family and my friends with all my heart.
At this point in my life I am working towards a degree in Social Work/Psychology—waiting to see what comes of it. All I know is that I need to be with people, and since I relate so well to brokenness I can see myself heading in that direction vocationally. Time will tell.
Thank you for visiting me today. If you take only one thing away with you from this site, may it be to let your little light shine. This world could certainly use it.
